FAR

For the lot below, the FAR is 2.4:
1. What is the maximum floor area developable?
2. How many stories would this permit on this lot?

Answer1. Maximum floor area = 19,200sf (100x80x2.4 = lot area times FAR), 2. # stories permitted by using max floor area within the setback (dashed lines) is 19,200sf = 4.26 stories (19,200/(75x60)=4.2666)

  1. hi and thanks for setting up this site...

I believe you subtracted the setbacks incorrectly.

It should have been 60x75 as the footprint of the setbacks instead of 80x55. Therefore the answer should be 4.2666
