What are the car stall dimensions for a compact car?
AnswerA compact car stall size can be set by each municipality and therefore varies. Generally it is 7ft 6in wide by 15ft 0in long. However, in Fresno CA it's 8 1/2ft x 16ft and according to an Iowa urban design manual, it's 7ft 6in by 16ft.

  2. Definitely, though NCARB exams are not that specific. This is a generic compact stall dimension. A similar reference can also be found in basic planning units provided in Ballast's Site Analysis chapter.

  4. Thanks - I've added clarification to the answer key. While compact car stalls differ slightly by municipality, standard stalls can as well. An accepted standard size to keep in mind is 9ft x 18ft (sometimes 19ft).
