Calculating daylight

The daylight factor method (CIE - E.U.) calculates how much daylight reaches any location in a room assuming overcast/diffuse conditions; and can account for corner windows, which cannot be accounted for using the lumen method (IES - U.S.). When 2,200 fc is measured on the ground outside, what is the resulting illumination level if one end of a room has a daylight factor of 2?

Answer is 2200 fc x 0.02 = 44 fc. DF is a percentage of the light available outside.
